Happy Saturday! My top three favorites from this week included the strength & conditioning workouts at the rock climbing gym, hosting my first Healthy Habits workshop with the Tamarisk community, and having a picnic date night with my husband at the local art museum! It feels like Summer is officially in swing, and I am here for it!
This week, I’ve been reflecting on the idea of ‘1% Better’. You may have read my recent blog post, or the book Atomic Habits by James Clear where he provides the science behind this concept. If you haven’t heard of it, the concept is this: By showing up every day and making small improvements, you’ll see those 1% changes add up and create a big impact over time.
There is no change too small, and quite honestly, it is much easier to manage small changes or habits than drastic changes that you can’t be consistent with. Right now, a goal I have is to grow a successful summer garden. Each week when I tend my garden, I have been seeking out resources to help me learn. Whether a quick YouTube video or a full blog article, I’m trying to gather something new each day to be 1% better at gardening.
